1. Artist name and where did it originated from?
My artist name is Joshua! It’s my birth name. I used to have a couple different stage names but I ultimately wanted to return to the essence.
2. Where are you from?
I’m from Orlando, Florida by way of the South Bronx, New York City.
3. Influences/inspirations?
I started rapping after I heard “Illmatic” from Nas. The imagery and dense lyricism really intrigued me, and I felt like I could do exactly what he was doing. So I’d say he’s my biggest influence/inspiration for sure.
4. What makes your music different than other rappers ?
Attention to detail. I’m very keen when it comes to music. I want everything to be sharp and as top notch as possible. A lot artists don’t take time like I do with an album, let alone one song.
5. Dream collab?
I would love to do an album with strictly Kanye West production. That’s always been a dream of mine.
6. Favorite rapper and why?
My favorite rapper of all time is Nas, for sure. Reason for that is his story telling and vividness with each lyric.
7. Where do you see yourself In 10 years?
With a couple Grammys on the shelf where my mom wants to put my college diploma.

Definitely My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

I’m currently working on a group project with some very talented folks in Orlando. We’ll see you soon.
