1. Rap name and where did it originated from?
Given to me by a childhood friend, Kay B is short for Kelvin Brown which is actually my real name. Many people pronounced my name as Kevin or Calvin so I figured Kay B would be the best to go by.
2.Where are you from?
I'm from Chattanooga,TN.
3.Influences/inspirations?
My influences and inspiration comes from my mother, my stepfather, my sisters and my nephews. Just my family period. They motivate me to go as hard as I do!
4.What makes your music different than other rappers/producers?
I speak on real life situations that everyone can relate to. It's a mix of conscious rap and street music. It's very positive but still something everyone can feel on a personal level. That's what I'm bringing to the table that's different.
5.Dream collab?
I would love to work with J Cole.
6. Favorite rapper and why?
My favorite rapper is Tip because he could spit like no other. I grew up on his music and it's definitely one of the reasons why I started pursuing music. He is the G.O.A.T.
7. Where do you see yourself In 10 years?
35 yrs old married with kids somewhere kicked back living life to the fullest!
8. Favorite album?
Hands down Trap Muzik by Tip.
9. Upcoming projects?
I released an EP this past August and my follow up to that my studio album entitled New Chatt City Est 1991 coming February 2017.
10. Fun fact about you?
I have a real big sense of humor. I love to laugh and meeting new people,probably one of the easiest people to get along with!
