1. Rap name and where did it originated from?
Ge-No, my name originate from the Italian family and Boss Vito Genovese. Vito Genovese was donned the Boss of all Bosses and I flipped it and became the Artist of all Artists known as Ge-No. Its also a double entendre for G knows for my understanding lyrics of everyday life.
2. Where are you from?
I'm from Richmond, Virginia. We like to call it Richnam or 8-0 or Cap city. Right now Im living in NOVA to be closer to DC
3. Influences/inspirations?
I have a large number of influences but my main influence was my Family. My mother sang, my Father was an Underground hip hop artist in the early 90s that was well known throughout the city and he performed with my uncle. I'd probably have to say ultimately what brought me to music was Michael Jackson. The man's energy was amazing and I always wanted to emulate that space he was in.
4. What makes your music different than other rappers/producers?
What makes my sound different from any other artist is the detail I put into the music. I produce and song write so when I produce I try to add sounds that arent usually used in the genre and use drum patterns from others and mash it together. And when I write I try to keep it as melodic and clever as possible and add as much real life as possible because nobody has seen things how you've seen and it gives you a unique sound. I try to keep it minimal but with big sounds so that it sounds full leaving space enough for the words.
5. Dream collab?
My Dream collab would have to be a song with Timbo on the beat but engineered by Dre, featuring Kanye and Pharrell on the Hook LoL very complicated song.
6. Favorite rapper and why?
My favorite rapper honestly would have to be Jay-Z. He influenced my early sound and my whole delivery of rap. I studied him the most out of any artist other than Mike. Jay-Z made me love the act of writing and creating clever lines that could possibly go over some peoples head but made it entertaining to listen too. I admire his longevity and ability to change and stay the same.
7. Where do you see yourself In 10 years?
In 10 Years I see myself becoming a young Mogul. I see myself branching out from just music to the world of art and design. I see myself scoring movies and possibly being in one. I see myself creating an empire that would help my family and my community.
8. Favorite album?
This is the hardest question of all time hahaha. My Favorite album would have to be between Thriller and Reasonable Doubt.
9. Upcoming projects?
I have an upcoming project named "Enjoy" that'll feature my band and group YOTT CLUB.
10. Fun fact about you?
Some fun facts about me is Im a dope drawing artist, maybe not the best but pretty good. I love anime have ever since I was a baby. My favorite team is the Cowboyz (Bring the hate) and uhh I love Food *shrug*.
